Cuba Mission Trip

September 6-16, 2019
$1,800 (departing out of Atlanta; airfare from Memphis adds about $360) | price covers all expenses except for personal souvenirs & activities
Registration Deadline: May 31

The team will serve at Camp Canaan, located in Central Cuba about four hours southeast of Havana, and the central assembly site for Annual Conference for the Cuban Methodist Church as well as other meetings and training sessions throughout the year. Camp Canaan is in a quiet, rural, tranquil setting. While this is a construction team, no construction skills are necessary, as the most important job for the team is strengthening our relationship with our Cuban brothers and sisters. There will be a job for every team member.

Since many team members will be visiting Cuba for the first time, there will be the opportunity to visit historic and cultural sites in Santa Clara, which is located near Camp Canaan, and in Havana, where the team will be the last three days of the trip. If you have questions, contact Team Leader Mike Burgamy, (770) 598-5279, or Christ Church’s Rev. Ken Stewart, (901) 412-4005, who is going. Space is limited to only 12 people for this team.

For the past 10 years Christ Church has worked alongside local families to help them build their first home in a week. Whether you are handy with a hammer or paintbrush doesn’t matter, there is a place and a job for everyone. Part of the group will assist with daily VBS for the children.
