RICE AND BEANS MINISTRY: The goal at Rice and Beans is to go into all the world and make disciples of Christ. We study that Christ was always meeting people exactly where they were and then calling them out into a faith that grew them and transformed their lives. Modeled after His example, we strive with each action in hopes of meeting people where they are and help lead them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Meeting the needs of many people often begins with meeting their needs of hunger through the flesh, then meeting their spiritual hunger through the Word and Prayer.
Christ Church is privileged to partner with Rice & Beans Ministries as they serve their Costa Rican neighbors. Team members will come alongside Rice & Beans assisting with construction projects, VBS kids ministries in local schools and offering prayer and food to families in need. Whether new to international mission or if you have been before, this is a great individual and family opportunity to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus.

Come. Build. Change! CELEBRATING 10 YEARS
This will be year TEN as Christ Church joins the community of believers at Ensenada, Mexico who are passionate about being part of sustainable change in Mexico. For the past nine years Christ Church has worked alongside local families to help them build their first home in a week. Most if not all have been living in a make-do shelter for their family. Each family, working with their local church, has paid for the concrete foundation and will invest sweat equity to see their home completed. Whether you are handy with a hammer or paint brush doesn’t matter, there is a place and a job for everyone. Part of the group will assist with daily VBS for the children.

SUMMER June 9-15, 2018
Cost: $850 per person for YUGO (Airfare not included)
Registration Deadline: March 31, 2018
Airfare: Each person/family is responsible for purchasing their own airfare to and from San Diego, CA and must arrive on Saturday, June 9 to join the team there. It is recommended you plan to fly out late on Friday evening, June 15th.
Accommodations: Accommodations are provided for the nights of June 10-14 and is included in the cost of the trip.
Transportation: On the ground transportation is provided with pick up at the airport, if arriving on Saturday, June 9 and if departing Friday evening, June 15.
DISASTER RELIEF: While we currently do not have a trip planned to respond to the flooding from Hurricane Harvey or the effects of Hurricanes Irma, Maria, and Nate, we are currently building teams that would be willing to go.
