Christ Academy

Families, Homework & Devotions… Oh My!

Now that school is back in session, do you wonder how to fit it all into 24 hours? Bring your K-5th graders and join Pokey Stanford for a hands-on Christ Academy course. She will share in a “make it-take it” style session a few tricks on teaching your kiddos how to walk faithfully with Christ. Watch this video to learn more:

Children/Students

School of the Rock Fall Semester Preview Night: August 28
Wednesdays, Aug. 28-Nov. 20 | 6-7:30 p.m.
Check-in opens at 5:45 p.m.

This free-to-the-public arts camp is open to all kindergarten-5th grade students on Wednesday nights during the school year (Nursery open for birth through Pre-K5). At School of the Rock, your children explore how to use art, drama, technology and athletics to tell their story and their part in God's bigger story.

 

Middle School & High School Refuge Kickoff

Middle school and high school students: Invite friends and join us for a fun, welcoming event to kick off the new year and welcome students to Refuge.

 

Youth Encounter Weekend: Lock-In Edition
Friday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. thru Saturday, Sept. 21 at 8 a.m.

For YEW this year, we are combining our in-town retreat with a lock-in from Friday evening until Saturday morning. Students will participate in various activities throughout the evening that will lead them off the church campus, as well as activities that will take place on the church campus.

Sheahan's Senior Safari: Delta Blues Museum | Clarksdale, MS
Friday, September 13 | 9 a.m. departure from Seabrook Hall | Return to Seabrook Hall by 3 p.m.
Cost: $8 + $15 lunch at Ground Zero Blues Club
Located in the Yazoo and Mississippi Valley Passenger Depot, the museum exists to collect, preserve and provide public access to and awareness of the blues. Along with holdings of significant blues-related memorabilia, the museum collects art portraying the blues tradition. After that, enjoy a rolling tour of Clarksdale before returning to Memphis.
