Our youth sports programs are Christ-centered and our coaches teach Christian values through sports, motivation, discipline, purpose, self-control, honesty and teamwork.

We are proud of the way our students conduct themselves both on and off the field. Christ Methodist Athletics registration is available for all Memphis-area youth.

Fall Sports (Registration in April)

TACKLE FOOTBALL

  • Grades 5th-6th

FLAG FOOTBALL

  • Grades 1st-4th

  • Practices start the week of August 11th, games begin the week of September 7th

FLAG FOOTBALL - CROSSCHECK

  • Grades 3rd & 4th Boys

  • Practice 1-2 times a week with 8 games that will all be played at Grace Evangelical in Germantown

  • Division: Crosscheck competitive (7 v 7)

  • Price: $50 Guardians Registration Fee + $175 Crosscheck League Fee

FALL SOCCER

  • Grades 1st-6th

  • Practices start the week of August 11th, games begin the week of September 7th (most played on Saturdays)

MINI STRIKER SOCCER (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS)

VOLLEYBALL

CROSS COUNTRY

  • Grades 3rd-6th, Coed

  • Practices start the week of August 11th

  • 3rd-5th Grades, Meets are generally on Mondays; 6th Grade, Meets are generally on Tuesdays

  • Price: $115

  • *Minimum requirement of 6 registrants

CHEER

  • Grades 3rd-6th

  • Cheering for Football (and occasionally other sports) 

  • Practices will be once or twice a week

  • Price: $50 (Uniforms are an additional cost. Fittings will take place in May.)

GOLF

  • Grades 5th-6th, Coed

  • Practices start the week of August 18th, matches begin after Labor Day

  • Price: $150 (Covers uniforms, green fees, and range fees.)

T-BALL, BASEBALL & SOFTBALL JK-6TH GRADE:

JK and SK T-Ball

  • Coed (unless there are enough girls teams within the league)

  • Practice days/times are determined by the coach (typically Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays)

SK Coach Pitch

  • SK Boys with prior T-ball experience

  • Practice days/times are determined by the coach (typically Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays)

1st/2nd Grade - Coach Pitch

  • Boys and Girls will play on separate teams

  • Price: $125 

 3rd/4th Grade -  Kid Pitch

  • Boys and Girls will play on separate teams

All JK-4th practices start in March; games run from mid-April to the end of May.

5th/6th Grade Baseball/Softball

  • Boys and Girls will play on separate teams

  • Teams will play in the Shelby and PAA. Games will be on

    various days throughout the week. Practices will begin mid-February.

TRACK & FIELD 3RD-6TH GRADE:

SPRING SOCCER 1st -4th Grade

  • Boys and Girls will play on separate grade level teams

  • ESCRA League play, games will begin in April

Winter Sports (Registration in September)

BASKETBALL

The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-grade teams will play an 8-game schedule in ESCRA with other churches and schools, divided by grade if numbers allow, with practices starting in early November.

4th-grade players are placed based on evaluations: an "advanced" team plays in an older group with a 10-foot goal, focusing on shooting techniques, while other 4th graders play in their age group on an 8.5-foot goal, either by grade level or in a combined 3rd/4th-grade division.

For 5th and 6th grades, "Varsity" teams for each grade and combo teams will compete in a more competitive division, without a play requirement, to foster skill, confidence, and growth. Team placement depends on evaluations, and "Varsity" players must attend the school or be active in the church ministry. For questions, contact Christ Church Athletics Director, Brian Maness.

JK and SK Mini Jammers season runs from January to March 1st, with two “Drills and Skills” sessions and four games on Friday nights (JK at 4:45 pm, SK at 5:45 pm).

CHEER

SK-2nd Grade
New this year, we are offering Cheer for Basketball season! Cheerleaders will have 1-2 practices per week and cheer at games on Saturdays.
