Intentional Discipleship for the Whole Family
On Wednesday nights at Christ Methodist, our church family grows together to become fully devoted followers of Jesus. Each week, we gather for a meal together from 5:00-6:00 PM in Seabrook Hall, followed by breakout sessions for discipleship:

Fall Semester 2025
This Fall, our goal is for everyone to learn how to read and pray through the Bible daily with confidence.
Last Spring, many in our congregation read through Luke’s Gospel while our Wednesday Night groups studied the person of Jesus through Rebecca McLaughlin’s book Confronting Jesus.
This Fall, we pick up where these two studies left off by reading Luke’s companion work in the New Testament: the Acts of the Apostles. All group members will purchase a journal to respond to a daily reading plan through the book, and then discuss their readings together on Wednesday nights.
This journal will feature a method of reading the Bible that we will be adopting at Christ Methodist that was first developed by David Platt: the MAPS method. This method features the ability to Meditate/Memorize, Apply, Pray, and Share as you read the day’s passage. To learn more, visit the link below for a quick overview, or purchase David Platt’s book, How to Read the Bible, for greater depth. (This book will not be used on Wednesday nights, but it provides additional context for the method we will be using.)

Vision Night
All of our Wednesday Night ministries kick off on this date. After eating dinner together at 5:00 PM, our children and students will transition to their areas around campus, and the adults will hear more about the semester and learn more about the MAPS Bible study method.

Discipleship Groups Launch
This will be our first week of the semester that the groups meet and begin their studies through the Book of Acts.

Fall Break: No Wednesday Night Activities
All of our Wednesday Night ministries will take a week off on this date for a Fall Break.
Nov 19
Wednesday Nights End
This is the final Wednesday night in for our adult groups, and we will also celebrate the Wednesday Night Kids Showcase over dinner.

On Wednesday nights, we gather together from 5-5:45 to share a meal prior to all of our ministries launching. We offer both a hot meal option and a salad bar for adults for $8. Children may receive free pizza at dinner with their parents or in their age-based ministries around the church. To steward our resources in the best possible way, we ask that you RSVP for dinner by 10:00 on Monday morning.
September 10: Philly cheesesteak sandwich, Corn-n-Cob, Potato Salad, Side salad, dessert.
September 17: Parmesan Chicken, Rice Pilaf, Roasted Vegetables, Side salad, roll, dessert.
September 24: BBQ Nachos, Mexican Rice, Black beans, (toppings for nachos), dessert.
Pizza is available for free.
