Many people have expressed questions and concerns about the future of Christ Church. We don't have all of the answers, but in a spirit of absolute transparency, we can answer some common questions.

The United Methodist Church announced last week to postpone General Conference from 2022 to 2024. This decision prevents a vote this year on what is known as the Protocol, a proposal that, had it passed at General Conference, would allow each local United Methodist congregation to decide whether to separate from the United Methodist Denomination.

The Joshua Committee will be a conduit for open, objective, and clear communication within our congregation on denominational issues during this critical period. We encourage questions and input from all members of Christ Church as we labor through this process and we want to make ourselves available to anyone and everyone who wishes to engage in dialogue on this issue.
