VBS Volunteer Guide
Getting Started
Hours
Volunteer’s Hours are 8:25-12:15 (may vary by position)
Kid's care will open at 8:20 for volunteer children. Aged 3 mo—3 yr., located in the church nursery.
Badge and T-shirt Pick Up—Adult Volunteers
Pick up your badge and t-shirts Saturday, June 7, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM in Seabrook Lobby or Sunday morning, June 8, 9:30-11:00 AM at the Seabrook lobby desk.
Campus Safety
Lock your car and do not leave valuables in it. Leave your purse at home and consider using a fanny pack!
Parking
To enter the parking lot, go through the front gate on the Poplar side of the building. If it is not open, simply push the buzzer!
Snacks
Volunteers have snacks, too! Just come to the side room in Rash Hall.
Bathrooms
No adults in the kids’ bathrooms! Stand in the hall and wait for your kids to exit. Adults can use restrooms that are not designated for kids.
Photography
No photography, please! Only authorized staff/volunteers are allowed to capture moments, which will be posted to the Christ Methodist social media account. These people will be wearing lanyards denoting them as part of the photography team.
Phones
Please do not use your phones during VBS except for emergencies.
Decorating Day
Bring the family and help us decorate the church for VBS on Saturday, June 7, from 10 AM-2 PM. Meet at the Seabrook lobby desk.
Family Night
5:30-7:00 PM Wednesday, June 11, in Wilson Chapel, then the courtyard.

Here are some quick refreshers on the major details for the week—take some time to review ahead of the big week!

Please be sure to read over the day’s lessons and activities each day before VBS in case you have any questions.
Refer to the schedule found in your classroom for Large Group rotation.
In your room, you’ll find:
A Roku hooked up for music
A hard copy of the lessons
A container with supplies to complete the activities

Elementary Shepherd Coordinator: Casey Caldwell
Report to Seabrook Hall by 8:25.
Children will arrive between 8:45-9:00.
After the Large Group, we will have 4 rotations:
Missions: in Rash Hall (with a transition to Rash Cafe for a snack).
R&R: 2nd floor Wilson-Ross
Crafts: 2nd floor Wilson-Ross
Recreation: Wilson-Ross Courtyard.
There will be volunteers along the way to help guide you!

Kids will check in when they arrive at the Refuge each day.
Remember that you’ll be going off campus on Tuesday and Thursday.
Snacks for kids will be delivered. Snacks for Volunteers are in Rash Hall.

Teen Coordinator: Brittany Fussell
Monday: report to Lampost at 8:20am to pick up your T-shirt and name badge. You will then go to your area of service.
All Teens: Please familiarize yourself with the “Getting Started” info above.
Shepherds: Please read the info found above or in your booklet.
Crafts: Your craft leader should contact you with info.
Recreation: Your recreation leader will contact you with info.
Phones should be silenced and put away for emergencies only.
If you need service hours, please bring your sheet to Mrs. Brittany on Thursday morning, and she will sign it!
