At Christ Methodist Church, our mission statement reads that we exist to glorify God and make disciples of Jesus Christ among all peoples. But how do we make disciples? This semester, our discipleship groups are answering that question by exploring what it means to move from being a spectator in the Christian life to becoming a true disciple-maker.
Drawing on the biblical pattern set by Jesus and the early church, the first half examines eight life-changing values that mark a disciple-making faith, from investing deeply in a few, to walking in obedience and the power of the Spirit, to raising up leaders who multiply.
The second half brings this vision down to earth, showing that every believer, not just pastors or the "spiritually elite," is equipped, positioned, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to make disciples right where they already are: in their homes, workplaces, and everyday relationships.
Participants will walk away with a renewed sense of purpose and a simple, practical framework for investing in others.
