Mission: To equip all students with the Wisdom and Knowledge necessary to succeed in college and become leaders in their community.

Program Highlights

• Schools and Reach: The Capstone Education Group operates four schools serving 1,300 students in Binghampton, Frayser, and Parkway Village, including Cornerstone Elementary.

• Character Education: Integrates the PREP ROCKS framework, promoting traits like Kindness, Optimism, and Courage.

• Bible Study: Offers voluntary after-school Bible studies to instill faith-based values.

• Community Collaboration: Partners with organizations such as SOS, Binghampton Development Corporation, Le Bonheur, Junior Achievement, and others to support holistic student development.

• Expansion Plans: Adding one grade per year at Parkway Village, with plans to acquire permanent facilities for all schools.

Community Impact

• Renewed Contracts: Successfully reauthorized three schools for another 10 years of school sponsorship, ensuring stability and continuity.

• Student Growth: Achieved record levels of academic and emotional development, particularly at Denver Elementary School.

• Safety and Support: Safety measures have been implemented, ensuring a secure environment for learning.

• Pray

  • For Capstone Education Group to acquire direct ownership of its buildings.

  • For endurance, encouragement, and sustenance for the staff.

  • For students to overcome adverse circumstances.

  • For parents to have the physical, emotional, and spiritual resources, they need to provide a supportive home environment for their children.

• Give

  • Financial gifts support programs for refugees and special education students. Donations can be made online at https://www.cegmemphis.org/give

  • Donate school supplies such as folders, paper, pencils, pens, markers, and crayons to meet the needs of the classroom. Supplies can be dropped off at the main office of Cornerstone Elementary (330 Carpenter Street, Memphis, TN 38112).

• Go (Serving Opportunities)

  • Sponsor a teacher’s classroom to assist with school events. This is a great project for Sunday School classes or small groups to do together. Contact Alex Wrobel at awrobel@cornerstoneprepmemphis.org for more information about how your group can sponsor a class.

  • Individual volunteers are also needed to make copies for teachers, and provide other supportive services.
