Douglass Cornerstone
Mission: To foster a commitment to youth and families that promotes stability and reasserts hope in the Douglass community.
Vision: To build a thriving, engaged, and spiritually renewed Douglass community through education, wellness, and gospel-centered outreach.
Program Highlights
Douglass Cornerstone is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that extends a helping hand to residents of the Douglass Community.
Our purpose is to exemplify the agape love of Christ to residents who once took pride in their community but now face hopelessness.
Our heart desires to provide the type of love that not only gives a handout to survive but also a handup to thrive.
We look for individuals, resources, and agencies to join us in providing hands-on support in caring and sharing.
Not only because caring and sharing heal, but also because they build. We desire to impact the residents of the Douglass Community in such a way that the love demonstrated towards them equips and empowers the community for generations to come.
Community Impact
Continued operations despite the loss of a physical location, sustained by committed donors and volunteers.
Fostered increased parental involvement and improvements in youth academics.
Contributed to a decrease in illicit activities within the Douglass community.
