Douglass Cornerstone

Mission: To foster a commitment to youth and families that promotes stability and reasserts hope in the Douglass community.

Vision: To build a thriving, engaged, and spiritually renewed Douglass community through education, wellness, and gospel-centered outreach.

Program Highlights

  • Douglass Cornerstone is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that extends a helping hand to residents of the Douglass Community.

  • Our purpose is to exemplify the agape love of Christ to residents who once took pride in their community but now face hopelessness.

  • Our heart desires to provide the type of love that not only gives a handout to survive but also a handup to thrive.

  • We look for individuals, resources, and agencies to join us in providing hands-on support in caring and sharing.

  • Not only because caring and sharing heal, but also because they build. We desire to impact the residents of the Douglass Community in such a way that the love demonstrated towards them equips and empowers the community for generations to come.

Community Impact

  • Continued operations despite the loss of a physical location, sustained by committed donors and volunteers.

  • Fostered increased parental involvement and improvements in youth academics.

  • Contributed to a decrease in illicit activities within the Douglass community.
