Pastor Paul Elected to Episcopy
Greetings, faith family:
Grace to you.
I want to share with you that I have been elected to serve as a Bishop in the Global Methodist Church, beginning November 1, 2026.
Over the last six months, I have trusted that if the global body called me to serve as a Bishop, then I would trust this as Jesus’ voice and calling expressed through His people. This is both an honor and a sobering responsibility.
I am profoundly grateful to God for His faithfulness, and I am equally grateful for the love, prayers, encouragement, and partnership of the Christ Methodist Church family. You have shaped my life and ministry in ways that I will carry with me wherever God leads.
While this transition brings a measure of sadness for Missy and me as I prepare to leave the role of Senior Pastor, I am excited about what God has ahead for Christ Church. While the provisional Senior Pastor search team has been at work for months looking for a potential new Senior Pastor should I be called to the episcopacy, let us all be confident God has been at work on behalf of Christ Church all along.
Christ Methodist Church is a special congregation with a remarkable future. I am already praying you will continue to pursue His mission with passion—to glorify God and make disciples of Jesus Christ among all peoples.
Mine and Missy’s love and gratitude for you remains strong. You are a super special staff and congregation. The years we have shared have been one of the great privileges of my life, and I will always give thanks for the opportunity to have served as your Senior Pastor.
Let us trust God for the future, follow Jesus faithfully, and believe that the best is yet to come.
