Putting Compassion into Action: Christ Methodist Staff Serve in Binghampton

The Christ Methodist Church staff stepped away from their daily routines to spend a morning serving alongside Binghampton Development Corporation (BDC), putting compassion into action through hands-on service and strengthening our partnership in serving the Binghampton community.

Throughout the morning, staff members rolled up their sleeves to help with a variety of projects, including cooking, cleaning, organizing, assembling materials, painting, and more. Each task provided an opportunity to support the ongoing work of BDC while learning firsthand about the organization's efforts to serve and strengthen the Binghampton community.

Beyond the work itself, the morning offered our staff an opportunity to better understand the people, needs, and ministries connected to one of our local mission partners. By stepping outside the walls of our church and serving together, our team was reminded that ministry extends far beyond what happens on our campus.

At Christ Methodist Church, being a Compassionate Neighbor means responding to the needs of others with Christlike love through meaningful relationships and acts of service. Our staff's time at BDC was a practical expression of that calling, demonstrating how partnership, generosity, and a willingness to serve can help support the work God is doing throughout Memphis.

We're grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside Binghampton Development Corporation and for the important work they continue to do in our city.
