S.H.A.P.E.: What’s Next?

As we celebrate what God is doing at Christ Methodist Church, I want to connect some dots of where we’ve been and where we’re going next.

Over the summer of 2025, several churchwide goals were set for us by our leadership, and one of these is a goal that everyone who calls this church their home church would be engaged in an area of service.

To equip us all in meeting that goal, we have been in an exciting season this fall:

  • We had our ministry fair in September.

  • Our stewardship series in October.

  • Recently, we concluded our study of 1 Corinthians 12-14 by turning in our S.H.A.P.E. cards.

We received many S.H.A.P.E. cards, and we’re grateful to each of you who filled one out and turned it in. As a staff, we’re committed to reviewing them and sending you some ideas for next steps based on your S.H.A.P.E. profile. Please look for an email in the coming weeks.

Additionally, we will continue to explore these ideas in our Wednesday Night Discipleship (WND) groups this spring. As Proverbs 20:5 teaches us, “The purpose of a person’s heart is deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.”

By studying this topic for an entire semester, participants will have the opportunity to do just that in our groups: explore, draw out, confirm, and seek understanding on the ways that God designed us and is calling us to respond to the gospel, however and wherever that might be. This isn’t about us as a church filling volunteer slots, but us as a church taking seriously our S.H.A.P.E. to, as Ephesians 4 teaches, equip you for your ministry.

To go deeper into your S.H.A.P.E., we encourage you to register for our winter/spring 2026 semester of WND. You can register in the form below.
